>>>MANY APOLOGIES my esteemed brothers for not posting a bulletin sooner. The Dark Fortress has seen much activity over the last quarter, due mainly to the revised battle-doctrines from the Adeptus Astartes which has resulted in a strategic and tactical analysis of the garrison forces.
Squads are being re-trained in the use of different weapons, and becoming more specialised in their tactical operations.
This has been greeted with a curious mixture of both dismay and excitement by the fourth company and by all other companies too according to rumour. Hardened veterans have come to terms with it and are now bound over to train their less experienced battle brothers.
This planet has now acquired a status within the Imperium not previously enjoyed- indeed with recent chaos activity and talk of a hidden warp portal we are undergoing a rapid build up of forces for a full planetary campaign.
Squads from the revered Deathwing have joined us, as have units from the Chapter Forge to service and maintain the needs of the machine spirits within our vehicles. Ravenwing Landspeeders have replaced the attack bikes, giving us a much greater radius of operation and rapid support where needed. The the ruggedness of the attack bikes will be sorley missed by their crews, the Landspeeders being more fragile, but the uprated assault cannon is a superb weapon and should serve us well.
I will write a more detailed report on the re-arming when a better opportunity arises.
