Tracking the Emperor's Children, the Lords of Oblivion followed them to a
base located deep within Tau territory. Before the Chaos Marines could attack,
the Lords of Oblivion ambushed them and decimated their forces, driving them
back from the area. The Librarians of the Lords of Oblivion have confirmed
Veck is within the base. With the Emperor's Children driven back for now,
the Lords of Oblivion are free to eliminate the Tau and capture Veck once
and for all.

Lords of Oblivion on encountering Tau Expeditionary Force with Emperor's Children.
The Lords of Oblivion began their attack on the Tau base, once again smashing
through the alien defenses. It was clear Veck had full control over the aliens,
and his mastery of the artifact allowed him to completely dominate their minds,
resulting in no loss of combat ability. Despite the ferociousness of the Tau's
guns, the Lords of Oblivion successfully breached the walls, and continued
the assault into the inner keep.

Unfortunately, as the Lords of Oblivion battled within the fortress, the
Emperor's Children returned, attacking from another direction. Between the
Tau, the Lords of Oblivion, and the Emperor's Children, a battle of massive
proportions was fought, resulting the shattering of the Tau's military might,
and the Emperor's Children saw their own attack crippled by precise strikes
against their armored mobility. As the battle began to subside, Captain Tiburin,
his Command Squad, and Inquisitor Elliot head into the heart of the facility,
searching for Veck.

Entering a section of the base abandoned by the Tau, Captain Tiburin and
Inquisitor Elliot finally corner Veck and his few remaining followers. However,
Faldred the Foul, along with several of his own warriors appear, and a three-way
battle erupts. Captain Tiburin gravely wounds Faldred in the fight, and kills
his other warriors, but Faldred escapes. Meanwhile, Inquisitor Elliot battles
his way through Veck's minions, and defeats the rogue Inquisitor in combat,
injuring and incapacitating him. The heretic is now within the interrogation
cells of the Vanguard of Firien, and Inquisitor Elliot and the Adeptus Mechanicus
Reclaimer Teams are studying the artifact.

First Victory: Smashing through the first waves of resistance from the mind-controlled
Tau, the Lords of Oblivion were joined by Reclaimer units from the Adeptus
Mechanicus, who aided them in their battles, in exchange for a chance to study
the artifact should Veck be captured. As they pressed onwards, however, they
encountered human citizens who had sided with the Tau, but were now under
the influence of Veck, and had begun worshipping him and what he had become.
These cultists fought alongside the mind-controlled Tau, but all were eventually
defeated, and the Reclaimer unit captured several of the Tau's crisis suits
to study their technology.

Second Victory: The situation was further complicated with the sudden arrival
of the Angels of Rapture, a massive warband of Emperor's Children nearly twice
the size of the Lords of Oblivion forces. The 5th Company fought them in a
valiant defense of the Vanguard of Firien, the Lords of Oblivion's battle-barge.
The Chaos Marines were eventually repelled, and the 5th Company mounted up
to launch a counter-assault.
Allerka.

Third Victory: The 5th Company engaged in a boarding action against the Emperor's
Children, successfully breaching its defenses, and planting bombs within its
plasma engine, destroying one of the Chaos cruisers, and eliminating over
50 of the Emperor's Children, before withdrawing to the planet surface to
reinforce ground positions.
Allerka.

Fourth Victory: A force of Emperor's Children attempted to attack the Lords
of Oblivion, and fight their way through to reach Veck on their own, however
their initial assaults were repelled. Judging from the movements of the Emperor's
Children forces, and reasoning they are better able to track Veck's exact
location, the Lords of Oblivion have further narrowed down Veck's possible
location.

The Lords of Oblivion completed their destruction of the renegade PDF units
being mind-controlled by Veck. Whereas before, the PDF units were slow, shambling,
and uncoordinated, the last few units were more closely resembling normal
humans, indicating Veck's control over the artifact was continuing to grow.
The Lords of Oblivion and Inquisitor Elliot continue to press eastwards in
pursuit of Veck.

Not long after defeating the last of the PDF units, the Lords of Oblivion
encounter the first resistance from Tau forces as they enter Tau territory.
However, these Tau also appeared to be under Veck's control. The Lords of
Oblivion managed to smash through the initial resistance, and continued onwards.
They could feel Veck attempting to break into their minds as well, but their
iron will and the constant mental training which characterizes the Lords of
Oblivion ensured none fell sway to Veck's influence.

Following the ambush of the retreating Tau, Captain Tiburin was informed
that Veck had been discovered, and was fleeing east, towards the Tau lines
and the Lords of Oblivion positions. He was using the artifact he captured
to take control of the minds of some of the local PDF forces, and was using
them to halt Inquisitor Elliot's pursuit. The Lords of Oblivion battled through
and defeated several PDF units, and managed to capture one of Veck's henchmen.
However, Veck himself escaped in the confusion and is believed to be heading
east, towards the Tau forces. Veck sympathizer captured.

Heading east, the Lords of Oblivion gave pursuit towards Veck, but he used
several more PDF units to slow down the Lords of Oblivion. However, after
defeating the mind-controlled units, they captured another of his henchmen,
along with several pieces of information which outlined elements of Veck's
plan and intentions. The Lords of Oblivion now speed eastwards to catch Veck
before he can take refuge (And possibly take control) of the remaining Tau
forces on Lonquin. Veck sympathizer and Veck clues captured.

Commissar Volker crouched in the ruins and watched the Blood Angels through
his scope before passing it to Major Vandare. "This wont be easy, holding
them here," Vandare whispered.
"Nonsense, the Emperor protects His faithful, Major. We must and will
hold them," Commissar Volker responded.
The red armoured space marines suddenly surged forward into the fusillade
of las bolts, their vehicles succumbing to the Lascannon fire quickly. The
Blood Angels struck the guard line on the right and began rolling down it,
but were halted by the courage and grit of the Nimeigan Officers and Commissars.

comprised the Nimeigan 2nd. The battle began as a mass fusillade of las fire
ripped from out of the ruins, scything the aliens down. Eager to prove themselves
the Trainee Commissars advanced to hold the bunker in the centre, while the
right flank of the army hinged around them crushing every enemy in its path.
The few remaining Tau quickly fled back down the path they had advanced up.

T'lash sat back on his bike, observing his forces as they howled, screamed,
and shot their bolters and pistols into the air. They were taunting the Guard,
the pathetic traitor humans gazing fearfully at the rabid army opposite them.
They were so occupied with the 13th Company's incessant roar that they didn't
even hear the three bikers roaring over the din. The bikers slammed into the
flank of the Guard, crushing mortars under their wheels and sending corpses
flying through the air. T'lash grinned, and the D'koi 13th Company Wulfen
moved forward.

T'lash snarled under the hail of autocannons and lasguns, his bike revving
loudly in defiance before he took the ramp out of the ruins. The rest of the
13th Company followed, and T'lash met a hideously warped Daemon Prince in
hand to hand combat. The Daemon bashed T'lash with the Dreadaxe, but T'lash
did not succumb to his wounds before stabbing the Daemon in the head, clearing
the way for the 13th Company to destroy the Warriors. T'lash recovered due
to the attentions of Wulf Priest Hjalmnir, and the hunt for Veck continued.

These fiends of the Imperium... These blasphemers of the Emperor's Holy Name,
they would not fight the 13th Company and live. A teleported Storm Claw squad
held back both a mighty Land Raider Crusader and the seven-strong Terminator
squad inside, their powerfists wreaking havoc on both the vehicle and the
unfortunate Tactical Dreadnought Armored veterans. T'lash himself joined in
the frackas, shrugging off a thunderhammer shot to the head long enough to
cut directly through the enemy lines.

Rune Priest Mjolnir and his Long Fang squad made an interesting discovery
in this battle.. Falcons, no matter how indestructable and hard to hurt with
their holofields, are little more than cardboard boxes should you manage to
shoot them before they move. T'lash took out a ten-man squad of Harlequins
with glee, sustaining only a wound in the process. It was a bloody battle,
but the D'koi moved on.

T'lash snickered as Mjolnir dissapeared from view, bringing his Melta Long
Fangs. The other two Long Fang squads, normally held in reserve, fired their
rocket launchers, bringing down four Devilfish, while Mjolnir and his squad
killed off the three Hammerheads on the field. There was nothing left to the
Tau, and it would be a bloody day as the D'koi 13th Company feasted on their
remnants.

The 13th Company got the drop on the Eldar taskforce, and using their element
of surprise, along with not a small number of rockets, managed to whittle
the numbers of the harlequins low enough that the D'koi 13th Company didn't
lose a man after assaulting them. The Falcons suffered the same fate, and
only three D'koi were injured that day, among them Rune Priest Mjolnir.

Rune Priest Mjolnir materialized behind the two Land Raiders and the venerable
Dreadnought, and with merely a raised finger, the finest tanks of the Grey
Knights turned to smoking hulks, and Venerable Brother Heinrichvonstein (or
rather, the remnants of him) were leaking out of an empty Dreadnought shell.
When the Knights turned to try to understand, all they saw was a flashing
frost axe, and then their souls were sent back to the Emperor. Mjolnir stood
over the corpses of his enemies. "Veck will be ours."

Wulfen Lord T'lash hacked his way through the Death Company with ease as
the rest of the Blood Angels died all around him. Mephiston was bearing down
upon him, but before he could strike, five Meltas barked at once, and the
slagheap that was Mephiston hit the ground. T'lash made a rude gesture to
his Rune Priest and the priest's accompanying Long Fangs, before the 13th
Company moved on. For Russ.
