Deathwing strikeforce by Minghella

Two very nicely prepared squads and a great Belial who really stands out from the crowd.

Showing what can be achieved by utilising a very traditional Deathwing paint scheme that has been very cleanly applied. The armour plate is quite white (compared to Games Worskshop's painting style) but there's nothing wrong with that.

The Deathwing Knights' squad is particularly good-looking with their green and gold shields. But Belial is the stand out model for me — great to see him looking so bad-ass in his archaic Dark Angel Legion coloured battle plate.

The other feature that I really like on Minghella's models are the faces. They are just awesome. The way they are so heavily shadowed under the cowls is very characterful (ok that's the photoraphy). Individual models are characterised by discretely-coloured power fists and knee pad heraldry. Another significant Terminator armour detail not often not made a feature of in painting nowadays, but here captured by Mingehalla, is the exo-skeleton framework on the legs.

Great inspiration.
