Dark Angels pre-Heresy Strikeforce by Angels_Blade

Yet again a stunning collection of painted Dark Angels from Angels_Blade. This time he has produced some pre-heresy Adeptus Custodes-style terminators cleverly converted from standard Space Marine terminators and using such diverse elements as dreadnought shin armour as shoulder pads and Warhammer Fantasy Chaos warriors helmets. My own favourite is the classic Land Raider complete with the massive searchlight

But what impresses me most is the sheer creative drive behind these models. One can forgive the un drilled weapon barrels and the odd mould line when presented with such a superb vision of what 40k can aspire to.

The painting style is clean and crisp with good attention to the smaller details. The golds are particularly rich. The limited colour palette would initially seem a handicap but Angels_Blade has made a virtue out of adversity and created a really well coordinated unit where every model is different.
