Deathwing Venerable Dreadnought by Herne
A Deathwing Dreadnought in all its glory.
A superb combination of modelling and painting has resulted in this Dreadnought. With a keen eye for detail many DA touches have been added to convey it's "Venerableness", heightened by his dramatic striding pose, something that involved some intricate tinkering with the model's legs.
Not only the sarcophagus but also the mechanical parts have been beautifully painted – and then roughed up with armour chips and stains from hydraulic leaks. The careful handling of the golds, lens jewelling and other small items stop this all becoming too Versace, with the grey base toning down and bringing all the elements together.
As a bonus and for ease of gaming, all the alternate weapon arms have been modelled and painted too.
